Note: If your credit card is a chip card, you will still use the magnetic strip to process the transaction. The card reader for GoPayment does not support the use of the chip at this time.
Are pre-paid credit cards accepted?
Yes, pre-paid credit cards for the supported cards types listed above are accepted. A pre-paid credit card works the same way as a regular credit card except that a pre-paid credit card involved money being deposited into an account beforehand and the purchaser can only spend the amount that was deposited upfront.
Are debit cards accepted?
No. Debit cards are not accepted at this time.
Are international cards accepted?
Yes. As long as the card is one of the accepted cards above. Transactions are completed in Canadian funds and will show on the cardholders' statement as Canadian dollars.
